Project perspective
Azure Crest is a Malibu residence by Apel Design, organized around a deep cantilevered roof and an uninterrupted ocean horizon.
The design story
Azure Crest takes its whole logic from one move: a long, low roof plane that reaches past the walls and frames the horizon from every principal room. Everything else defers to it.
Beneath that plane the materials stay quiet. Warm plaster, stone and timber hold the interior together so the view does the work, and the terrace reads as a continuation of the living space rather than an edge.
