From building to object
Some projects call for pieces that cannot be selected from a catalogue: a table tuned to the room, a sculptural screen, a painted door, a built-in that becomes architecture, or an object whose form completes the story.
Amit’s personal art practice remains distinct, but it gives Apel Design a deeper source of form, material, experimentation, and commissioned work.
A complete interior
The room remains the whole. Sculpture, furniture, and art become meaningful when they strengthen its proportion, movement, material, light, and emotional character.
Together they extend the interior without fragmenting it: every piece answers to the same spatial and material idea.

Apel Design works with specialist fabricators and consultants to test materials, resolve connections and carry the design through installation. On Design-Build projects, construction is by Creative New Dimensions Inc, in conjunction with Apel Design for Design-Build.
Define the feeling, proportion, use, and relationship to the room.
Test scale, connection, material, finish, and how the piece is touched.
Coordinate fabrication, sourcing, tolerances and installation with the makers and trades.
Adjust the final relationship among object, art, light, architecture, and life.
Involvement
Apel Design can lead an interior from the first sketch to the final placement, whether the house is delivered through our Design-Build practice or built by a contractor of the client’s choosing, with the studio overseeing the interior work.
On Design-Build projects, the studio’s drawings are carried through construction by Creative New Dimensions Inc, in conjunction with Apel Design for Design-Build. Where a client has chosen their own builder, the studio reviews samples, shop drawings and installed finishes against the design, and leads the procurement and installation of the interior itself.
